On my way in the
garden.
I stopped and took a long look at myself in
the beautiful mirror at the gate.
I saw words and they
spoke, not a
image.
The words spoke a silent whisper.
I moved in closer, but the
words was still just a whisper.
I had to move even closer.
My face was
one with the mirror.
I heard this wonderful beautiful whispering voice
say;
The good you find in others is in you too.
The faults you find,
are
your faults as well.
After all, to recognize something you must know
it. The possibilities you see in others are possible for you as
well.
The beauty you see around you, is your beauty. The world around you is
a mirror showing you the person you really are.
To change the world, you must change yourself.
To blame and complain will only make the matters worse.
Whatever you care about, is your responsibility.
What you see in others shows you yourself.
See the best in others, and you will be your best.
Give to others, and you give to yourself.
Appreciate beauty, and you will be beautiful.
Admire creativity, and you will be creative.
Love and you will be loved.
Seek to understand, and you will be understood.
Listen and your voice will be heard.
Teach, and you will learn.
Show your best face to the mirror, and you'll be happy with the face looking back at you
Once the mirror
finished her story, I walk into the Garden, I breathe
in deeply the fragrances of the night.
The Roses in all their beauty
perfume the night air.
The night is clear,
the stars are dancing across
the brightly lit sky.
The birds sing a song of silence. Everything is
at peace with nature tonight.
I stop to relax at the Willow Tree, here
I'll meditate tonight.
As I sit I look at the beauty of the Amethyst
Pool.
The water is placid, the moon will be mirrored perfectly.
If we
still ourselves, we can mirror the divine perfectly.
But if we engage
solely in the frenetic activities of your daily involvements, if we
seek to impose our own schemes on the natural order, and if we allow
ourselves to become absorbed in self- centered views, the surface of
our waters becomes turbulent. Then we cannot be receptive of Self.
There is no effort that we can make to still ourselves.
True stillness
comes naturally from moments of solitude where we allow are minds to
settle.
Just as water seeks its own level, the mind will gravitate
towards the holy.
Muddy water well become clear if allowed to stand
undisturbed, and so too will the mind become clear if it is allowed to
be still.
Neither the water nor
the moon make any effort to achieve a
refection.
In the same way, meditation will be natural and immediate.
